Before 'I Do': Pay It Forward...

As part of the wedding planning process (or actually my life in general..) I have been spending countless hours on Google researching vendors.  I really don't want to waste my time visiting a bridal shop or a florist if they're known for awful products or customer service.  Which is why I rely so heavily on sites that offer customer reviews.  So when Bridetastic approached me and asked me to complete a few reviews for them, there was no question in my mind that I would help.  It's my duty to pay it forward to all those new brides out there and help them out with their wedding planning process.

They're just getting started but they do have some reviews up now (I have a few up myself!).  It's a really easy, beautiful website and I know I can count on you girls to help them make it a success.

Plus if you DO help... I do have a special prize for you...

Nail Moment: Bold Fuchsia

If you follow me on Twitter, you know I was on the hunt for the perfect fuchsia nail polish for the last little while, for a good price.  It's a pretty trendy colour so I really didn't want to spend $15 on it.  Enter Wet N' Wild Fuchsia-rama.  Love it with this neutral outfit of the day.

Note: Clearly, as I spent $2 on it, it started chipping after 3 days.  Not a big deal but when you're used to Essie polishes last 2 weeks, you become spoiled.

The Next Style Guide on a Budget is...

I have been getting SO many compliments on my budget-wise style guide for Gossip Girl stars Serena and Blair.  I worked so hard on this and spent many hours editing and playing around with effects so it means the world to me that you guys liked it!

Since I had a BLAST making it, I would love to do another one for you guys!  So I've outlined a few TV shows who's style I think would be fun to replicate.  Vote and let me know what you want to see next! :)

Casual Stripes & Ruby Red Slippers

Just one of those days when I wanted to be comfortable but cute at the same time.  Was running errands all day with Chris getting DIY stuff together for the wedding!

Gossip Girl Style Guide (On A Budget)

First there was Sex and the City and now there is Gossip Girl.  The beautiful Upper East Side fashionistas inspire us every week with gorgeous tailored Chanel jackets, Valentino gowns and Miu Miu pumps.

However, I can't even afford the sole of a Miu Miu heel, let alone an entire designer wardrobe.  So here's my take on budget friendly style inspired by Serena and Blair.

Nail Polish Collection & Top 3 Polishes

I feel like a freaking queen when I have my nails painted.  My whole outlook on life is brighter, I stand taller, I'm bubbly and confident.  Er wait - was that the wine I was drinking?

I kid (I actually hate wine) but seriously, I loved have my nails painted.  I always do it myself too (I already pay $5-$11 for a bottle of nail polish... why on EARTH would I pay $40 for someone paint 1 coat on for me?!) its a nice way to relax and unwind.

So, without further adieu, I present to you... my polish collection.

Try this Trend: Mix & Match?

I'm always scouring magazines and fashion blogs for new ideas and twists on popular runway trends.  This particular trend caught my eye because its super tricky to nail!  It's all about playing up a variety of different textures, fabrics and patterns into one cohesive look.  The trick to working this fab look, is sticking to a similar colour scheme.

To give you a few ideas on what I'm talking about, I've put together two outfits below using affordable clothing.  What do you think? Would you wear this trend?

Who's Gossip Girl Style Do You Like Best?

Gossip Girl is like the modern day Sex & The City (forgive me for the comparison... nothing can live up to SATC) - full of glamour, drama and of course, fabulous clothes. So I'm curious... who's style do you most relate to? Who's do you love most? If you could raid their wardrobes, who's would be first?

Vote below!

Starry Night: Gradient Nail Tutorial

This is my very first nail polish tutorial and I'm darn proud of it.  I love the colour scheme and it looks STUNNING on the nails.  Even Chris (who hates everything but light pink on my nails) liked this.
